Sculpture Done + boards
I've finally finished my sculpture and am pretty happy with how it turned out, however getting there was pretty difficult I guess. When I had finished my sculpture I had a problem with it not being able to stand and when it came out of the oven it was pretty clear why it was struggling to stand, my dumbass didn't full the skirt so there was just tinfoil keeping it together so naturally when it came out of the oven it struggled to stand and was on a bad lean. While the final version has a bit of a lean I managed to alleviate it slightly by breaking of her bottom legs and gluing them back on, while I used a crap ton of hot glue it fixed the issue pretty well. Over the holidays I wanna try experimenting a little bit more with sculpture and see how I go to try and improve my skills as I really enjoyed making the sculpture, even though my first attempt trying the clay was really bad as I don't know if my hands were just weak that day or I just got a bad batch of clay as it just crumbled in my hand.
When I painted the figure I used a grey primer and because my characters skin is fairly pale I decide to paint a base white coat before applying the top coat of paint, just so her skin wouldn't be washed out with a grey undertone. With the clothes I did try and alleviate my rough sculpt job with some detailed painting to give the clothes some more depth in the folds to make them look more relaxed on the body as if the shirt is slightly to big for her. Overall I'm pretty proud of my first attempt at sculpting like this, its pretty siiicccckkkkkkk.

I've finished putting the wallpaper and decorating my board and think its turned out niceeeeee. Originally I planned on stacking to lots of different wallpaper on top of each other however in the end I stuck with the one and think it looks a lot better with just using the paint to represent holes in the wallpaper and putting some wear and tear down the side with some watered down brown acrylic that I mixed together that was originally used for the skirting on my board. The blood that was put down the side of the panels was originally gonna be blood I made out of glucose syrup and cornstarch however I was also using that for my photography project so I decided to look for some blood at the warehouse and kmart sadly there wasn't any at kmart but I did find some at the warehouse and it was 30% off (yeeeeeeeeee). The blood worked pretty well and even when it dried it still retained the droplets which look pretty cool.
